Any construct, be it interiors or architecture is finally a product. This
needs to be delivered at expected quality standards, within specified
time frame and at a budget. The reality of construction management and
quality of contracting agencies leaves a lot desired. Many of our clients
now insist that we as designers take singular responsibility for the design
as well as delivery of the project. Through design-build, we assume the
role of master builders and ethically and contractually answer for our
